Ethical Standards and Guidelines – ADHD Tools Marketplace 

ADHD Tools Marketplace members must adhere to ethical standards that foster transparency, fairness, and respect for CHADD’s mission and values.

Members of the ADHD Tools Marketplace agree to uphold the following ethical standards and expectations:  

1. Transparency and Accountability 

• Clear Objectives: ADHD Tools Marketplace members have clear goals for their involvement with CHADD and ensure that these goals align with CHADD’s mission.  

• Open Communication: Both CHADD and ADHD Tools Marketplace members are transparent about their expectations for membership as well as any challenges or obstacles that may impede membership.  

2. Integrity and Honesty 

• Avoid Conflicts of Interest: Organizations in the ADHD Tools Marketplace avoid situations where their business interests could unduly influence CHADD’s decisions or undermine CHADD’s work.  

• Truthful Representation: Both CHADD and ADHD Tools Marketplace members accurately represent their intentions, capabilities, and contributions. Companies ensure that their involvement does not mislead stakeholders or donors. 

3. Respect for the Nonprofit's Mission 

• Alignment of Values: ADHD Tools Marketplace members ensure their practices and contributions align with the CHADD’s mission and values, and refrain from activities that could conflict with CHADD’s mission. 

4. Confidentiality and Data Protection 

• Safeguard Sensitive Information: ADHD Tools Marketplace members must respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information that may be shared.  

5. Avoiding Exploitation of Vulnerable Communities 

• Ethical Marketing Practices: ADHD Tools Marketplace members are cautious not to exploit vulnerable populations or use CHADD’s cause as a marketing tool without genuine engagement or support. 

• Community Impact: ADHD Tools Marketplace members must ensure their business practices do not harm the community CHADD serves and focus on the best outcomes for the ADHD community.  

6. Respect for Nonprofit Governance 

• Support Organizational Autonomy: ADHD Tools Marketplace members respect CHADD’s governance structure and decision-making autonomy.  

7. Compliance with Laws and Standards 

• Follow Legal Requirements: ADHD Tools Marketplace members and CHADD comply with relevant local, national, and international laws, including regulations related to charitable donations, fundraising, and nonprofit status. 

8. Regular Evaluation 

• Monitor and Evaluate Impact: ADHD Tools Marketplace members help assess the effectiveness of their support and involvement with CHADD. Annual evaluations will identify areas for improvement, ensuring that both ADHD Tools Marketplace members and CHADD are achieving their objectives. 

• Feedback and Improvement: The ADHD Tools Marketplace fosters a culture of feedback to ensure it remains ethical, productive, and impactful.
