Description

Anxiety & ADHD in Girls!

Tips on Earlier Identification and Empowerment

Hosted by ADHDKC CHADD (KS/MO)

Date: September 16, 2025

Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm CST

Audience: Adults 18+ (Parents / Guardians / Caregivers / Educators / Professionals)

ADHD in girls often goes unrecognized or is misdiagnosed—especially when anxiety is also in the picture. Symptoms can be masked by perfectionism, people-pleasing, and internal struggles that don’t always show up as disruptive behavior. When we miss the signs, we miss the chance to offer timely support.

Join ADHDKC CHADD for this important session where we will explore how ADHD and anxiety can overlap and present differently in girls, and what we can do to better identify and support them early.

Featuring Dr. Nerissa Bauer: Pediatrician, Behavioral Health Expert, and Creator of TEACH Me ADHD. Dr. Bauer is passionate about empowering families through education, advocacy, and connection. In this session, she will:

✅ Share compelling case examples that highlight the challenges of identifying ADHD in girls when anxiety is also present
✅ Explain the value of objective testing in making accurate diagnoses
✅ Offer practical tips on how to help girls build confidence and self-advocacy skills
✅ Discuss how parents and caregivers can nurture resilience and promote emotional well-being

🔔 This session is presented by a licensed medical health professional and is intended to provide general information, guidance, and support around ADHD-related topics. While we’ll cover helpful strategies and leave time for questions and discussion, please keep in mind that this presentation is not a substitute for personalized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
